Has nothing to do with the owners. These cars are bottom breathers. Stock, they are fine because they are baffled, but there's an aftermarket modification made by Vararam that essentially puts a vacuum cleaner into the nose about 6-8 inches off the ground. Wouldn't take much to suck water in there and hydrolock the motor.

Hmmm...so Vette owners are doing their part to keep America's highways clean, by sucking up dirt everywhere they go! Screw hybrids, buy Vararam!

That's the one good part about a TA. The ram air scoops are one the hood and even with it all cut out to work with my twin filter Volant I never have any water issues. Looks like a boat last time it flooded near hwy 6. All you could see was the water bubling from the exhaust tips being a few inches under water. All though I have to clean my filters every few cruises since there's nothing between the dirt and filter except those black plastic grills. I can live with that compared to dodding 3 inch puddles. He'll when I was up north in MA I took it through a few blizzards.
